We recommend fertilizing every month. However, we scale back during winter and increase during the spring. You don’t need to use too much. Just follow the directions on the packaging. Over fertilizing will lead to leggier growth.

It is dependent on how quickly the tree goes. The best rule of thumb is to see if the wire is cutting into the branch. If it is, then it’s time to remove the wire. Certain species of trees grow much faster than others so it is good to check occasionally if you are unsure.
